Even if left on, this battery may last close to 2 years before needing to be recharged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Here it is on the tank. I don’t know if it would stay on when driving. Open up the unit as if you were replacing the battery. Cut and solder the AA battery holder wires. Dremel out a little clearance for the wires and maybe use a dab of silicone grease to seal around them. By the way, I’m using a AA battery holder since I didn’t find any for the shorter 14430 cell size.
